Rain drops pommel the puddle
Plopping, plopping
Each one 
A year of my life

Giant waves pound the shore
Young man cast upon the sea
Frantically rowing against the tide
Over and over to no avail 
Exhausted a final surrender
Drifting with the currents
Calm waters on the distant shore
Sun warms a weathered face

 pulling wagon 
full of stuff
uphill
downhill
all around the town
no heartbeat
weight of past
slowly
unload the wagon
then give it away
to the young child

Body holds
The mind
The Light
Dissolve the mind
Shine brightly
